Festival Napa Valley, Angels of the Arts Award / June 22 Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Philanthropy Day

The Angels of the Arts Award is Festival Napa Valley’s highest honor. In 2022, Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem were the inaugural recipients of this distinction.

A celebration of their outstanding contributions, consistently supporting the arts (Manetti Shrem Museum, SF MoMA, Palazzo Strozzi), music (Metropolitan S.F. Opera, S.F. Symphony, Cal Performances, Maggio Fiorentino, Festival Napa Valley), education (UC DAVIS College of Letters and Science, Royal Drawing Schools, ArtSmart, Italian language in US Public School) and health and science (UCSF-Neurology, CPMC-Cardiology, Meyer pediatric hospital in Florence) was held at Ken Fulk’s Saint Joseph’s Art Society in San Francisco.

On the special occasion, Mayor, London Breed, the City and the County of San Francisco proclaimed June-22 Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Day.

Maria, thanking their friends and the dignitaries for the award and the special proclamation, underlined how their “ultimate art of living coincides with the art giving.”
